At Aya, we believe health and wellness, safe shelter, access to education and equity are basic human rights — and we focus our giving and volunteer efforts around these pillars. Here’s just some of what we did last year to support communities nationwide.

Pounds of Trash Collected

Aya team members celebrate Earth Month by participating in clean-up and beautification events nationwide to dispose of litter, plant native greenery and more. At just a handful of the 30 cleanup sites we joined across the country in 2025, volunteers collected an incredible 73,525 pounds of trash!

For the past four years, Aya has been the presenting sponsor for Father Joe’s Villages “Run for Hope” Thanksgiving Day 5K. The event brings together 8,000+ community members, which in 2025 included over 300 Aya employees, friends and family, to raise critical funds to help feed over a million San Diegans every year.

Meals donated

As a returning sponsor of the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank’s Holiday Food Drive, our efforts have contributed to more than 1.17 million meals for those in need.

Emergency relief efforts

Aya employees assisted relief and recovery efforts in Los Angeles, contributing to the combined efforts of Red Cross and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank as they provided hundreds of thousands of meals, comfort kits and other supplies, in addition to safe shelter for thousands. Care and recovery for animals in need was supported through Pasadena Humane, who coordinated emergency evacuation and treatment for over 300 animals.

For families that were displaced across Kerr County and the surrounding areas, our contribution to the the San Antonio Food Bank provided 35,000 meals.

To support emergency and ongoing relief efforts in previous years, we’ve worked with the North Carolina Healthcare Association Disaster Relief Fund, Feeding America (providing 60,000 meals), Pup N Purr Rescue, and Team Rubicon, whose clearance teams removed over 6,500 cubic yards — equivalent to more than 400 dump trucks — of debris in Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. 

The San Antonio Food Bank is on the ground leading emergency response efforts — delivering truckloads of food, water and essential supplies in coordination with local pantries and partners.

We believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. That’s why we supported more than 50 educational organizations across the country that provide resources, opportunities and support to help the next generation achieve their goals.

Equity

Pride

For years, we’ve joined hundreds of thousands of community members for the San Diego Pride Parade.  Parade sponsorship funds vital LGBTQ-focused programming locally, nationally and globally for the most marginalized members of our community.

One Simple Wish

We’re thrilled to team up with One Simple Wish to grant more than 50 wishes and counting for children in foster care during the holiday season and year-round. We created the Aya Healthcare Wish Fund to do our part to make tomorrow happier than today.
