Luisa receives a DAISY Award nomination

A patient nominated Luisa for a DAISY Award for her dedicated care.

The patient wrote, “My night was very difficult, but in the morning, this angel came. She cleaned me up and removed my catheter. I was so afraid, but she was gentle. She changed my dressings when nobody else wanted to and showed my wife how to change them. She walked me to the bathroom and made sure I felt cared for. The best six hours of my entire stay were when Luisa took care of me. I have had good nurses, but she was exemplary in every way. She got me ready to go home, walked me to the car and made sure I did not leave until I knew my medications. She made me feel like I was the only person she was taking care of. She is an angel.”

Luisa, your quality care means so much to your patients, and we appreciate the work you do, too! Congratulations on your DAISY Award nomination!

Barbara receives a DAISY Award nomination

A patient nominated Barbara for a DAISY Award for her outstanding care and support.

The patient wrote, “As a new mother, I was nervous and anxious, but from the moment I arrived at the birth center, Barbara comforted me and helped me know what to expect. She was not my nighttime nurse as I labored, but the next morning, I was pleased to see her sweet face come in despite being in so much pain. She ended up catching my sweet baby as the doctor entered the room at shift change. She coached me the whole time and assured me everything would be okay. I had truly never received such good care during a hospital stay. She also helped me with all my postpartum care and advocated for me the entire stay. I am so grateful to have her as part of my birth story.”

Congratulations on the DAISY Award nomination, Barbara. Your patients appreciate your quality care, and so do we!

Matt is recognized by a team member

A team member praised Matt for his team player mentality and dedication to helping his patients.

They wrote, “I want to recognize Matthew for the professionalism and heart he brings to his assignment. He is one of the most respectful and genuine individuals I’ve encountered. He shared thoughtful feedback with me that will improve some of our processes, and it was clear his intentions were rooted in a genuine desire to support the team and make a positive impact. What stood out the most was how much he seemed to care — not just about the job, but about embodying what a traveler is truly meant to be: someone who steps up to help. I can see how deeply he values the role and his commitment to being a team player. He showed that his heart is absolutely in his work, and I wanted to make sure that didn’t go unrecognized. Stephanie is nominated for a DAISY Award

A patient nominated Stephanie for a DAISY Award for her above and beyond care during the patient’s first delivery experience.

The patient said, “It’s hard to sum up how grateful we are to have had Stephanie for our first L&D experience. She immediately made us feel at ease. Every time she came into the room, she made small talk that kept me distracted and positive. It was decided that we would have a C-section earlier than we originally expected. We were lucky enough to have Stephanie again the next night, and she gave us so much specialized care. We shared stories, and I felt like I knew her personally after only two nights together. She got us prepped for our C-section before she signed off, and we were delivered. Stephanie visited us in Mother/Baby before her shifts and on her break. She was so excited to hold our little guy and see how I was holding up. I felt so cared for, and it was obvious she went above and beyond her job. She cared about our son and my feelings and was genuinely excited to meet our little guy after things were on solid ground. I will never forget her and can only hope to have her for future deliveries. The facility is lucky to have her!”

Stephanie, your quality care makes all the difference for your patients and their families. Congratulations on the DIASY Award nomination. Keep up the great work!

Andi is complimented for her quality care

A patient’s family member praised Andi for her compassion and patient advocacy.

They wrote, “I want to compliment the superb care provided by Andrea. She was my brother’s nurse during the day and checked in on him while he was not her assigned patient. Andrea always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. My brother’s health crisis was an unexpected tragedy for our family, devasting and so very stressful. The care and compassion she showed were not only a comfort to him but also to my niece and me. Andrea immediately made my brother feel at ease with her compassionate and kind demeanor. She was reassuring, very proactive and attentive to all his needs. She was a true advocate for his medical care and helped us to navigate the system. Her love for the nursing profession shone through in every interaction. My brother was extremely fortunate to have such a caring nurse during that horrible time. She was a blessing and an angel to my brother, and I pray she will continue to be assigned to him during his stay. Andrea touched my heart, and I will never forget her and the extra steps she took to advocate for my brother’s health. She is truly an extraordinary nurse who deserves praise and recognition.”

Congratulations, Andi! Your compassionate care means the world to your patients and their families. Keep up the great work!

Haneen is nominated for a DAISY Award

A patient’s family member nominated Haneen for a DAISY Award for her compassion and tender care.

The nomination wrote, “My father was worried about how his surgery and the subsequent days would go, but thanks to Haneen, it was amazing. In the first few minutes, she assisted my father in several small ways, many of which demonstrated compassion that exceeded our expectations for a good nurse. She genuinely cared about his comfort, wound care, medication and the supporting apparatus while also alleviating his fear. My father was an infantryman in the airborne and has needed this surgery for as long as I can remember. He has been afraid to have it done. Haneen’s compassion and tender care made all the difference. I believe she was instrumental in his decision to come back and have his other surgery done. Bravo, Haneen!”

Your quality care is changing lives one patient at a time, Haneen. Congratulations on the DAISY Award nomination!

With Kelli’s amazing, therapeutic communication skills, she was able to calm him down and turn his frown upside down. Within five minutes, the patient was no longer scared and enjoyed his time with Kelli. For someone to be able to comfort and build trust within minutes of meeting a terrified young patient in an emergency department speaks volumes to the care she provides as a pediatric ER nurse.”
