Aya Healthcare’s EVP of Workforce Solutions and Clinical Services April Hansen Named Nurse Leader of the Year by the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders

The Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders (WONL) selected April Hansen, Executive Vice President of Workforce Solutions and Clinical Services at Aya Healthcare, as its 2019 Nurse Leader of the Year. The award recognizes a nurse leader who makes significant contributions to nursing and nursing leadership to WONL, their place of employment and the community.

Recipients of this annual recognition demonstrate creativity in nursing leadership, promote the nursing profession, serve as a role model and participate in a broad range of civic and healthcare-related organizations. Hansen’s entrepreneurship — including the creation of a nurse engagement smartphone app — has been recognized in the nursing industry and featured in a variety of publications, including You Magazine, New North B2B and Green Bay Press Gazette (part of the USA Today network).
