RN, Andrew receives a DAISY Award
Nurse, Andrew, received a DAISY Award for the impact he had on a family while caring for their father.
One family member wrote, “In November, my father was hospitalized with COVID and placed in the ICU unit for almost three weeks. My father’s condition did not improve, and on November 27, he passed away. Andrew was one of my father’s primary nurses, and during those unbelievably hard weeks, he was very compassionate, understanding and helpful.
“On many occasions, Andrew went above and beyond his job responsibilities to check on us, make sure we were okay and that we understood what was going on to help my father. As the days went on, the only thing that allowed us to go home and rest was knowing my father was in Andrew’s excellent care.
“I hope I’ve expressed how exceptional and special Andrew is. The job he does is unbelievably hard and I don’t think that I could do it, but I am so very thankful that there are people like him that can. I feel the very least he deserves is to be recognized for his exceptional skill both as a nurse and a person. His bright light in our time of darkness is something my wife and I will never forget.”
Andrew, your exceptional care will forever be cherished by this family. Thank you for your dedication.
