RN, Bailey, is an exemplary nurse

Aya RN, Bailey, received a very detailed compliment from her facility manager for being such an exemplary nurse.

The manager said, “As Bailey’s contract sadly comes to a close soon with my unit I would like to share some reflections on her time with us.

Bailey is unequivocally one of the absolutely BEST travel nurses I have ever had the pleasure to have work on my unit. She is sweet, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. She is always punctual for work and when here, works incredibly hard. I have had so many compliments from patients, I couldn’t even begin to tell you all of them. She never has an issue floating or flexing to help out another unit and did so a few times. Bailey even made sure she was at work during the freeze we had back in February. When some of my staff couldn’t make it in, Bailey made sure she was here for the patients. Her attitude is exemplary!!!  In my eyes, she is what every nurse should strive to be.

I could go on and on about what a true professional she has been, not to mention that she is just a lovely person with a huge heart for her patients. I hope you know how lucky you are to have her as your employee and this unit is going to miss her very much!  Thank you so much for allowing us to have Bailey here with us.”

Way to go above and beyond, Bailey! We’re impressed and so proud of you!

A heartfelt DAISY Award nomination for RN, Emily!

Aya RN, Emily, was nominated for the prestigious DAISY Award. Read what Emily’s coworker had to say in their heartfelt nomination:

“I’d like to nominate Emily for stepping out of her ER role and into Med Tele. She did not just meet standards and expectations, but exceeded. She was praised by patients, management, and peers alike. I have never seen a more adaptable and caring individual.

It was a sincere privilege to work alongside her. She was involved in a least two separate codes that were regained, which would not have been the case without her knowledge, experience, and leadership. She went beyond her duties of her own patients to help other RNs with difficult IV starts as well as many other tasks. She was an asset to the unit, and her experience will be sorely missed. She had countless praises from long term Covid patients and families.

She exemplifies all of the qualities that a nurse should fulfill. Her example sparked hope in patients leading to better outcomes, and inspiration to her peers. She managed to coordinate discharge for a patient of four weeks, that Physicians did not believe was possible. That patient is at home presently and living their best life thanks to Emily. She inspired, challenged and cared for patients at their most dire need.

She made the facility proud and carried the nursing banner proudly through a difficult time and assignment. I was amazed to learn it was one of several Covid assignments she had taken. She is a testament to her profession and human compassion.

I think it’s a testament to Aya’s recruiting of incredible nurses and the service you provide. If there is recognition to be had, she is the most deserving.”

We couldn’t agree more! Congratulations on your nomination, Emily!

Aya RN, Sky, treats her patients like family

A family who could not be with their loved one due to COVID restrictions reached out to Aya RN, Sky’s, facility and gave her and the nursing staff special thanks for the care they provided. Read the kind words this family had to share about Sky and her team:

“With the times we are living in during this pandemic, we cannot physically be with our loved one. Naturally, that adds a measure of anxiety and sadness because we cannot hold our loved one’s hand. But you all did that for us. You provided excellent medical care as well as the human touch that meant so much. We watched on camera how a gentle stroke, pat or holding of the hand helped to calm our loved one, as it did us as well. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring the way you did. Each of these nurses treated our father as if he was their father.”

Thank you, Sky, for treating this patient like a loved one of your own! Your excellent care made all the difference to this family.

Superb RN, Cody, takes great care of his patients

Aya RN, Cody, made a big impression on one of his patients. Read how Cody’s excellent care made this patient’s ER visit better:

“I recently needed to visit an emergency room. I was worried about the experience I would have visiting any ER. However, I found my fears to be unfounded; the staff that night were caring, understanding, attentive, and informative. While I do not wish to diminish any of the efforts of the other staff members I interacted with, I would like to say that Cody was superb. He had a wonderful manner and was willing to help me understand specifically what he was doing. While his badge states he is a contractor, it would only be to the benefit of the hospital were you to find a way to keep him as a permanent member of the staff.”

Not only did Cody impress his patients, but he was also recognized by his facility nurse manager, who said, “Cody has been such a pleasure to have on our team and will definitely be missed.”

We’re so proud to have travelers like you, Cody! Great job!
