She is a dream to work with, a team player and a very hard worker. She always has a smile on her face. Our outpatients love her and they all come in looking for her. She also has a lot of compassion for our patients. If we ever need help again, we would love to have her back. I wish we could keep her forever.”

Aya traveler, Corinne, impresses her team

RN, Corinne, received praise from her coworkers and manager for her exceptional care and work ethic. Read what they had to say below:

“Corinne is one of the hardest working RNs that I have ever worked with. She is punctual, personable, has an impeccable work ethic, loves to teach and most importantly, she cares about the patients and treats them as if they are family. Aya RN, Rachel, exceeds expectations

Travel nurse, Rachel, received high praise from her manager and recruiter after going above and beyond while working a challenging weekend at her facility.

Rachel’s manager noted, “Rachel and Malea were the ‘dream team’ in our unit. No matter what was asked of them, they rolled with it. Our charge nurse commented on what a pleasure it was to have them on duty that Friday.”

Rachel’s recruiter, Kate, added, “Rachel is very sweet, responsive and always sounds happy when she answers the phone. She is a ray of light to work with.”

Two nominations and a DAISY Award win for Aya RN, Tonya.

Aya traveler, Tonya, received the prestigious DAISY Award after receiving two nominations for her teamwork and excellent care.

Tonya’s first nomination was submitted by a colleague who wrote, “I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Tonya. She is phenomenal at what she does and cares very deeply for those around her. The one night in particular I recall working with her, a beat was not missed in making sure my patient was cared for and stable. I did not have the confidence that night, the patient was just too complex for my normal and Tonya was right there making sure step by step things were being done. She never stepped over me but worked alongside me and showed me that I actually had the confidence to keep this patient stable. With the help from many other staff members, the night turned into a good night, but without Tonya, I am unsure how it would have played out not only for me but for the patient, too. Tonya is going to be a nurse I never forget in my lifetime of nursing. She taught me so much in the time I worked alongside her. I am grateful for everything she has done.”

The second nomination was sent in by a patient who shared, “I was in the hospital with COVID respiratory and acute kidney failure. I thank God that Tonya was there to get me through the nights. She went above and beyond.”

Aya RN, Carrie, is a DAISY Award winner!

Carrie was awarded the prestigious DAISY Award after one of her patients wrote in about her professionalism and her gift for nursing. Read the sweet feedback that this patient had to share about Carrie:

“I was admitted in severe condition. Carrie met me with a smile and an extremely upbeat attitude. I cannot describe a specific situation as she was very consistent in her attitude and professionalism. I also have a compromised immune system. I have been hospitalized many times, yet I never had a nurse who made it a point to physically make contact to reassure me and honestly answer my questions. If she did not know the answer, she would tell me, ‘Hang on, I’ll go find out,’ and she did. It is my hope that this nurse is recognized as rare and unique in today’s nursing profession. These are the nurses who need to be recognized and utilized as mentors. It is clearly evident, that she does not do it as a job, she has a gift. From when I was admitted, until today, I have seen nothing but a positive smile and a willingness to immediately address my medical concerns, taking that extra moment to check on me. This uniquely qualified nurse elevates the reputation of professionalism at this facility. Thank you!”

Top notch traveler, Jordan, received multiple compliments for providing excellent care and keeping things running smoothly in a busy unit. First, her patient gave her a shout out saying, “The facility staff was very busy, but Jordan always took the time to make sure I was clean and comfortable without me asking.”

When passing along that compliment, Jordan’s Nurse Manager also chimed in saying, “Jordan has been such a great addition to our unit!
