Heather is nominated for a DAISY Award

A colleague nominated Heather for a DAISY Award for going above and beyond to ensure the comfort and happiness of her patients.

The colleague wrote, “Heather brought light to a patient who was undergoing serious medical challenges and required a liver transplant. She decorated their room with posters and banners of their favorite football team, set up a scoreboard to keep track of their wins and losses and put up a schedule so the other nurses would know when to turn on the games for them. Great job, Heather!””

The patient’s spouse commented, “Heather has made my husband feel valued. It shows she took the time to learn what makes him happy even while caring for someone in critical condition.”
