Journal of Emergency Nursing: The Impact of Nurse-Physician Relationships on Emergency Nurses’ Moral Distress
April Hansen, MSN, RN, and Carol Tuttas, PhD, RN, published Travel Nursing Turns the Tide in 2022. Their research was cited in a recent study pertaining to moral distress:
“Travel nursing had no impact on moral distress levels in our study. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to measure the impact of nurse-physician relationships on moral distress between travel nurses and core staff. Although we did not find an association, with the rise of traveling nurses in the United States, it is important for the nursing profession to be aware of issues that may reduce retention among travel nurses.”
