DAISY Award Nominee Mayra Exceeds All Expectations

How do you know when a traveler is rocking an assignment? They’re nominated for a DAISY Award! We’re thrilled to share that Aya travel nurse Mayra, who’s working at a facility in Pennsylvania, was recently nominated for this prestigious recognition.

The DAISY Award honors the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day, and Mayra couldn’t be more deserving of a nomination. Here’s what a fellow RN says:

I’d like to nominate Mayra Z. as a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award. Myra came to [our facility] via a travel assignment and quickly adapted to [our] values and standards.

Mayra has gone so far above and beyond any expectations we may have had. She provides exceptional care to all her patients and has cared for some of our most critical and most difficult patients with compassion and without prejudice.

Mayra does not just demonstrate compassion for all patients and their families, but for her colleagues as well. Any time anyone needs assistance, Mayra is always the first to step in and help without complaint.

She genuinely loves what she does, and it reflects through her enthusiasm to help and to educate others in a way that makes them feel accomplished and appreciated.

I’ve witnessed several interactions between Mayra and her patients. She greets each patient with a smile and a kind word. She always has a way of making them feel at ease. Her patients are always in good hands. Her bedside manner and professionalism are top notch.

Mayra is a great example to all nurses. She is a stunning example of what [our facility] values. I would also credit her to any increase in patient satisfaction score we may have. It is for these reasons I am honored to nominated Mayra [for the DAISY Award].
