RN, Hannah, puts patient safety first
Aya traveler, Hannah, was recognized by her nurse manager for taking extra steps to keep her patient safe after a medication was mislabeled.
Hannah’s manager wrote, “I want to thank Hannah for her role in keeping a transplant patient safe. She prevented a medication error by recognizing a package mislabel and then followed up with the pharmacy to make sure the patient had the correct amount of anti-rejection medication. Hannah saved the packaging and alerted the pharmacy of the incident to prevent future errors. Our team greatly values when a nurse goes above and beyond for patient safety. I look forward to thanking her in person when she is back.”
Hannah, we’re grateful to have nurses like you to keep patients healthy and safe. Thank you for going the extra mile for your patients!
